Wow … once again she nailed it – an awe inspiring woman, a woman of substance, a woman using her gift to touch lives & educate people all over the world … Oprah Winfrey; well earned & deserved award .

Always acknowledging & celebrating the unsung heroes (“… domestic workers, factory workers, …”) who day-in-day out are out there trying to provide their children a better life & in the process, laying the groundwork for the generation who would follow in our footsteps; and acknowledging those in whose footsteps we are also following (our parents, …. Rosa Parks, Reese Taylor,…”)…  Gosh, as she often does when she goes back in history,  Oprah brought a tear to my eyes this morning!

When one thinks of tbe hardship the generations gone had to persevere for us to be able to stand & walk where we do today; can’t but shed tears … i just hope we are doing enough to pave the way for a better tomorrow; for the generations coming behind …

I watched her talk show for more than  20 years, before she went on to set up her own network & still look out for any opportunity to access her shows; lots of lessons garniered & used to navigate my own world over the years…
